The Orientrix Guide

How the platform works.

From a scanned answer sheet to a student who knows exactly what to fix — this is the whole journey, step by step, for every role. Ten minutes here saves your first week.

For Instructors

Upload once. The pipeline does the rest.

  1. 1

Create a subject & add resources

Set up your subject and upload syllabus PDFs, study materials, previous papers, and model papers. Every other product — GenQP, GenLib, evaluation context — draws from this one library.

  2. 2

    Bring a question paper

Upload an existing paper (with an optional official answer key — it becomes the authoritative marking scheme), or generate a fresh one with GenQP from your resources: sections, choice rules, difficulty mix, Bloom’s distribution.

  3. 3

Review the rubric — this is the contract

The AI drafts a rubric: per-question marking schemes, keywords, choice rules. Review it like an examiner. Split "OR" questions into choices with one click, fix marks (decimals supported), reorder, undo freely. The marks-sanity banner warns when questions don’t add up to the paper total. Save the draft, then finalize — finalizing locks it, and every sheet is graded against exactly this rubric.

  4. 4

    Pick the evaluation mode

Strict (rubric wording is ground truth — best with an answer key), Balanced (default — synonyms and paraphrases earn marks), or Flexible (examiner-style discretion). The mode changes how generously each rubric step is judged, never the mark allocation itself.

  5. 5

Upload answer sheets as a batch

Whole scanned PDFs, any handwriting, any of 100+ languages. The pipeline runs extraction → verification → mapping → grading → QA verification per sheet, with strike-offs respected and unclear handwriting flagged instead of guessed.

  6. 6

    Review, spot-check, approve

Flagged sheets surface first. Use OCR review to correct any misread text, spot-check a sample of graded sheets, adjust individual marks with a full audit trail, then approve the batch. Nothing reaches students before your approval.

  7. 7

    Publish & export

Students see annotated PDFs and per-question feedback the moment you publish. Export the marks sheet to Excel (choose exactly which columns: roll number, name, per-question marks, totals, percentage, grade), download annotated PDFs, or per-student GenEval reports.

  8. 8

    Close the loop

Batch analytics show weak topics per class. Spin up a weakness-targeted mock test with GenMock, or a remedial GenTutor course scoped to the students who need it — enrollment is automatic for eligible students.

For Students

Every mark explained. Every gap actionable.

  1. 1

See your result, not just a number

Your dashboard shows each evaluated paper with per-question marks, the rubric criteria you met and missed, and your annotated answer sheet — the reasoning behind every mark is written down.

  2. 2

    Ask GenChat why

The built-in tutor chatbot has your evaluation open. Ask "why did I lose 2 marks in Q4?" and it walks you through the gap between your answer and the rubric — then explains the concept itself.

  3. 3

    Dispute through the proper channel

If you believe a mark is wrong, raise a review request from the result itself. It goes to your instructor with your justification attached — a documented trail, not an email argument.

  4. 4

    Practice with mock tests

Instructor-published mock tests run through the same evaluation engine as real exams — so practice feedback matches exam standards exactly.

  5. 5

    Fix weak areas with GenTutor

Remedial courses target the exact topics you lost marks on: lessons, flashcards, quizzes, and revision plans generated from your own performance.

For Admins & Chairpersons

One pane of glass over the whole institution.

  1. 1

    Onboard your college

Register the institution, pick a plan sized by student count, and pay online — the workspace, admin account, and credit pool are provisioned automatically. Add instructors and students in bulk.

  2. 2

    Set institutional standards

Configure grading criteria (grade bands and colors), result display rules (percentages, grades, CGPA scale, pass marks), and your college branding — every report and student view follows them.

  3. 3

    Manage credits

Evaluation runs on a shared credit pool. Track spend per feature, top up online, and approve instructor credit requests. Failed jobs auto-refund.

  4. 4

    Watch the dashboards

College-wide analytics: batch outcomes, subject-level trends, at-risk students, instructor activity. Chairpersons get the cross-college organization view with drill-down to any instructor’s batches.
